Substitutions Policy

At St Albans Flower Market, we believe in making your floral experience the best it can be. Sometimes, though, the flowers you want aren’t available exactly as you ordered them. That’s why we’ve got a Substitution Policy in place.

Here’s how it works: when you place an order with us, we’ll do everything we can to create an arrangement that matches the shape, size, and color you asked for. If you’ve specified certain types of flowers, we’ll try our best to include those too. However, because flowers can vary in availability depending on where you are, we might need to make substitutions.

For example, if a particular flower or color isn’t available when we’re putting together your order, we’ll swap it out for something similar to keep the overall look and feel of the arrangement intact. We’ll always make sure that any substitutions we make are of equal or greater value than what you originally requested.

If you’ve ordered a bouquet with just one type of flower, like a bunch of roses, we’ll prioritize getting that type of flower even if the color isn’t exactly what you asked for. And to make sure we get it right, we encourage you to let us know if you have a second choice in mind when you place your order.

Flower Longevity

When you receive your flowers from St Albans Flower Market, you might notice that some of them are still closed up. Don’t worry – that’s just to help them last longer. Flowers like lilies, tulips, and roses often arrive closed to protect them during transportation and to give them a longer life once they’re in your hands.

With proper care, your flowers should last anywhere from 3 to 7 days. Just make sure they have enough water and keep them away from things like heat, direct sunlight, and even apples (yes, really – they can speed up the wilting process). Taking these simple steps will help you enjoy your flowers for as long as possible.
